Kybella Injections for Double Chin Removal in Arcadia
Kybella provides an exciting alternative to surgical fat removal beneath the chin (typically called liposuction of submental fat). Rather than having a surgical procedure performed, office injections can be performed to improve the appearance of the area beneath the chin.
Kybella is a prescription medication that, when injected into the fat beneath your chin, destroys fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or reaccumulate fat.
The active ingredient in Kybella is deoxycholic acid, which already naturally occurs in the body and aids in the breakdown and absorption of fat from your diet.
Your own body’s metabolism will clear fat from the treatment area after the fat cells have broken down.
Typically, patients require three to four non-surgical treatments, each consisting of 2-3 vials, in order to achieve their desired results. Each treatment is spaced one month apart from the others, and up to 6 treatments may be administered.
