Look Younger With Bold Eyebrows
Say goodbye to those thin drawn-in eyebrows! The hottest trend this spring is full, thick brows. All the hottest celebs have full, natural looking (but groomed) eyebrows. Who doesn’t love this new trend? It sure is a lot less work to let your eyebrows be natural and only have to tweeze stray hairs. Not only that, but full eyebrows frame your face (and especially your eyes) and make you look younger. When you get older, your eyebrows start to thin out, and they become a sure giveaway that you are aging. So put those tweezers down, and follow these tips so that your eyebrows don’t make you look older!
Find your arch. You do not want to have big bushy eyebrows that are not arched. If your eyebrows and thick and bushy with no arch, you will have a “manly” looking brow. So the first thing that you need to do is to find an arch that is proportionate to your face. Generally, the arch looks better when it starts about three quarters of the way from your inner eye. Use a pen to help you measure where the arch should be. Place the pen on the outer colored part of your eye, and line it up with your eyebrow. This is where your eyebrow should be arched. If you have problems trying to get the best shape for your brows, I would suggest consulting with a professional. After you get your brows professionally shaped, it’s a lot easier to maintain the shape yourself. Request that they keep your shape as natural and thick as possible.
Raise your arch. When you get older, your eyebrows and eyelids start to droop. That is why many people get a brow lift and upper eyelid surgery to open up the eyes and get rid of excess skin and fat. For a younger appearance, you should have a slightly raised arch, especially near the tail. If your eyebrows have only begun to slightly droop, or you have no arch, Botox may be a great solution. Given in the correct dosage, Botox can help you arch your eyebrows, giving you a fresher, younger appearance. Therefore, instead of having to tweeze your brows, you can just pluck stray hairs, and use Botox to give you the arch and lift that you need. Botox can also be used to raise the tail of your eyebrow (the part that sets off your arch) making you look more awake and rejuvenated. Without the tail of your eyebrow being raised, your eyes would look droopy and tired.
Fill in your gaps. Do you have gaps in your brows from too much tweezing or previous eyebrow mishaps? Make sure you get an eyebrow liner or powder and fill in your sparse areas. Using a powder to fill in the lines can give you a more natural look. You can also purchase products to make your hair grow faster and thicker in those sparse areas.
